On Easter Sunday, Cooper and his Lolli dyed eggs. The teacher in me couldn't resist making a project out of it, so we did crayon resist egg dying. Such fun! They colored on the eggs with crayons, then dipped them in fun colors.
Brave, considering Cooper was still wearing half of his Easter outfit (you can't tell that he's missing a tie, sweater vest, and pants!)
Easter this year was really special, because Cooper is old enough to understand why we celebrate. For the weeks leading up to this special day, we retold the story of Jesus' death and resurrection every night and naptime using Resurrection Eggs. For us as Christians, Easter is a holiday that reminds us of HOPE. When our life on Earth is over, we trust that we will live with Jesus in heaven because He paid the penalty for our sins. It's a free gift that we don't deserve, but we accept! We're grateful for the new life that we're reminded of each year at Easter!
