Yeehaw! We always look forward to our annual trip to the rodeo with Lolli and Pop. Here’s cowboy Cooper, sans the hat that itched his head and belt that “squeezed his tummy”. Oh well, a cowboy nonetheless!
This year, we decided Cooper was big enough to enjoy the carnival AND stay for the the real rodeo and concert afterwards. He also decided that it was time to graduate to the “big people” rides at the carnival. He was super brave and I was actually really shocked that he wanted to take on the coaster and the water plunge ride!
(It DID make me laugh that this guy sitting next to us thought Cooper and I were brother and sister! Ha!)
Pop took the plunge with Cooper and loved being splashed! Nothing like walking around the rodeo with wet pants…
But Pop would do anything for this grandson. And that smile made it all worth it!
After the excitement of the carnival, we watched pig racing over the fence, ate some bbq and saw the real rodeo. I loved it and Cooper did too. We were too busy cheering to take photos, but we had a great time and we’ll continue to tradition next year!
